This photo shows how "bughuts" (workmans sleepers) were moved between locations. Most of them didn't have air brakes, of course they all had at least a through brake pipe. This meant that when they had to be moved, normal goods wagons which of course had operating air brakes, had to be spliced in amongst them. This train was on the up near Kilmore East, 1978.
