1913 Underbool signal arrangement diagram

ABOVE: Underbool, looking towards Ouyen. Dec 18 1970. The station building is of a design I've not seen anywhere else. A refreshment room was provided in 1919 and a larger building provided in May 1921, presumably the building in the photo was this second refreshment room. The refreshment closed in 1929.(Photo courtesy Neville Gee)

Doug Miles was lucky enough to have ridden a goods from Ouyen to Pinnaroo and return on April 7 1972. ABOVE: The goods is held out at the home arrival signal at Pinnaroo. BELOW: 1961 public timetable showing the railmotor service. The railmotor driver was based at Pinnaroo and by the looks of the timetable he led a leisurely lifestyle, working only 3 days per week with a daylight rest job at Ouyen.
