The railmotor concept was originally concieved as a means of providing passenger service on sparsley populated branchlines but after all of these "V/Locity" railcars are introduced the bulk of non-suburban passenger travel will be on non loco hauled trains, photo at Newport workshops Sep. 24 2004.
