T 368 heads the Geelong to Upfield FORD train near Tullamarine on the Albion - Broadmeadows loop line. This train conveyed car parts from Ford's component plant at North Geelong to their assembly plant at Upfield. The loop line from Albion to Broadmeadows was opened as a double line in 1929 but the east track was converted to standard gauge as part of the 1962 Melbourne to Albury standard gauge project. The wagons on this train, BFWs, were specially built for this service and were the biggest boxvan type wagons the VR ever owned. Feb 16 1979
