Travelling on an up Broadmeadows in 1978 we were delayed at Ascot Vale, eventually we were told that a road truck had struck the Ascot Vale road bridge. With a lenghty wait until the bridge inspector checked out the bridge I went and got a photo of the offending truck (BELOW). The photo above shows the following Harris train pulled up right behind our train.
