An up "motor train" at Buninyong circa 1904
Motor trains were operated as 2 man trains with a combined position of fireman/guard called a "motor guard". The handrails around the front of the loco were to assist the motor guard moving between the carriages and the loco while the train was in motion. The line was officially closed on 28 Feb 1947. |
