Due to the reluctance of VR to build a double track bridge over the Goulburn River near Seymour there was a short section of single track from a location called "Goulburn Junction" into Seymour. This junction became the first junction remotely controlled from a distant location, in this case, Seymour A Box. Commisioned Aug 16 1925.

The photo at left shows the junction looking towards Melbourne, I would say the photo was taken upon commisioning in 1925.
