Converted from outside sill RY wagons this small class was a stopgap measure until funds could be secured to build more FQX's. They saw a lot of service in livestock traffic carrying MC cattle containers.
As soon as the KQ conversion program ended (1973) the KMQ program began in 1974 to build yet more 4 wheel container wagons. |
