They were basically a flat wagon with fixed bulkheads. They were a result of a test where SFX 100 was fitted with a bulkhead and a moveable tarpaulin arrangement. The idea is quite common in Europe. Their main use was to freight centres.
They share the same underframe/bulkhead design as VFTY timber wagons. |
